30A – Final Reflection
I remember doing my elevator pitch for the first time and having no idea what to say and it took me over 20 times to get it remotely okay for me to post. Now, I do my elevator pitch to my friends involved in business for fun and have it memorized so easily. I remember doing the bug list and having a somewhat difficult time thinking of all of them. I think my elevator pitch videos were the most formative experience because it taught me how to speak properly in a business setting and how to condense the most important details I needed. I think this made me a better public speaker even though I was speaking by myself in front of a camera. I'll remember this for years. I also enjoyed interviewing my friends to see what they thought of me and what my "secret sauce was." I see myself as an entrepreneur because of my mindset, not that I necessarily have a business yet. I pay more attention to problems or "bugs" as we called it every day. I am constan...
Sydney,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on your elevator pitch! You explained the need for and benefits of your product very clearly and articulately. I love that you explained concepts we learned about in previous exercises and the findings of those exercises, like the 100% of people who reported that the need you identified actually exists. Hearing you personally explain the importance of this product helps me understand the need much more clearly than any written post could. Excellent video!

Hi Sydney,
ReplyDeleteMy keys disappeared from my pocket just tonight when I returned home from a sorority function at 1:30am. The bus had dropped us off at Norman Hall and as I was walking to my car total panic set in as I realized my keys were missing. I like the idea of having a key bracelet, or even a necklace or a “hoop” for my belt loop. Something to personalize and use as an accessory while it is also serving a more important need. Did you discuss the possibly of adding a GPS option to this idea? Adding a “location app” to this idea would give the wearer the ability to also “track” their keys if they do go missing. I really like this product.
Best,
Emily
Hi Sydney,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on giving a price and 600% return number as that is very enticing to investors. I like the previous comment of adding a GPS function, however, that would increase the price significantly. Perhaps you could have a line of products that would solve this. Will your key bracelet hard the key inside of the bracelet (be thicker) or would it be dangling like in the video?
Thanks,
Grant
Hi Sydney,
ReplyDeleteI think you conveyed the information about your product in your elevator pitch well. It is obvious that you have thought about this product and the market that the product is in. I think the idea of a bracelet for keys is smart. What would be even better is if the bracelet could be tracked. Another idea is the bracelet having a tracker device that comes with the purchase. Having a tracker would certainly draw in more consumers. I look forward to seeing more of your ideas.
