18A – Create a Customer Avatar

My customer is a college aged girl who has hobbies of being active, on the go, and involved on campus such as in sororities and big organizations.  My customer drives a nice car like a Jeep Wranglers or any kind of sedan or SUV--usually black or white.  They watch shows on Netflix like Grey's Anatomy and shows on cable like The Bachelor.  They do not have children, but may have pets like a cat or a dog with their roommates.  They like reading books that are realistic fiction, but don't read much leisurely as they spend a lot of time studying and going out with their friends.   They don't pay much attention to politics.  They are thought of as young, but feel like they are older.  They like fashion and spending some money often on accessories and clothing.

I honestly made the customer avatar to look like me and a lot of my friends because I think them and myself represent who would buy the product.  I don't think it's a coincidence because I did it on purpose.

  1. Sydney,

Excellent work bringing your customer avatar to life! I like that you took the time to describe the details of her personality, ideas, goals, and hobbies. She certainly seems like someone who would use your product, and hopefully you will be able to visualize her while completing the rest of our assignments and/or moving forward with this venture after the class is completed. Great job!

  2. Sydney,

You did a great job painting a picture of a typical woman that would use your product. I liked your level of detail and think that this girl would be a perfect customer for your bracelet. It is much easier to create an avatar when you create an idea that you want or relate to. Great job so far and I look forward to seeing your idea develop.

    Best,

  3. Hello Sydney,

Great work! You gave me a good idea of what your prototypical customer would look like. I can relate with the customer since I like watching Grey’s Anatomy. I think this amount of detail will help you decide what your customer need is and understand how your customers behave. I like that this assignments helps us dive deeper into buyer behavior.

  4. Hi Sydney,
You did a great job producing an avatar that represents your prototypical customer. I can see how your customer resembles both you and your friends as this is the market that you are trying to attract. Most of the customers who would use your product would be college students like yourself. Your avatar looks and sounds like the type of girl who would love your bracelet idea.
    Best, Emily
